Your Life is Purpose Driven

Your Life is Purpose Driven!  You are not a mistake, but purposed.  God planned for you to be here even though your current circumstances may differ.  I know how it feels to question God's plan for your life.  You wonder why God allows you to endure so much pain and heartbreak.  You start wishing He would take the pain away (or just take you away.)  The Bible declares in Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Currently, things seem difficult to handle.  Everything and everyone seems to be working against you.  You are battling depression and worry.  The Bible declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

My brother, my sister, Your Life is Purpose Driven!  You are the formation of God.  Created in His likeness and in His image.  What are you currently enduring in your life?  What dilemma are you faced with?  Is there anything too hard for God?  Last night, I was reminded about God's goodness towards me.  I was reminded that my life was purposed by God.  On this day, under the authority of God, I declare that you shall not die but live and declare the marvelous works of the Lord.  The Bible declares in Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?  What has God spoken in your life?  Are you still standing on that Word?  Your Life is Purpose Driven!  Thought to Remember: Until your purpose is fulfilled, death has to wait!

Affirmation: Be in Today!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Psalm 118:24

Don't let the good news of today become blocked by the pain from your past!

Phillipians 3:13 - 14
(13)Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (14)I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Allow Christ to have a greater influence on your 'now' and 'future' as you let go of the past.

Count Up The Cost

by Minister Darrick D. McGhee

My friend, Count Up The Cost! If you sit down and analyze your life, you would realize God has been better to you than you have ever been to yourself. He has been better to you than you have been to Him. He has protected you when you made foolish decisions. He has positioned angels to watch over your everyday affairs. The Bible declares in Psalms 91:11 - For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Count Up The Cost! Think about the places you went, the people you hung with, and the things you use to do. Think about the club parties and hotels you stayed in. Think about the debt you owed and the bills you had. Think about the lies and rumors you heard. Think about the sicknesses and diseases you could have experienced. Think about the healing and deliverance you enjoyed. Truth be told, you owe God more than He owes you.

My brother, my sister, why are you angry with the Lord? What has He done wrong? The Bible declares in Psalms 84:11 - For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. The Lord would never withhold any good thing from you. You should thank the Lord for this. Count Up The Cost! There are some things you constantly pray for, but the Lord knows it is not a good thing for you to have. He knows it looks good to your natural eye, but it will cause you more pain than victory. Thought to Remember: You should thank God for everything, not just the things you want.

Worry is the Opposite of Faith!

by Minister Darrick D. McGhee

Have you ever been around people who worry and complain all the time? No matter what the Lord does for them, they still find something to worry themselves over? Have you ever doubted the Lord’s abilities? Have you ever questioned God’s love for you? So often in our lives, we dance and shout on the outside, but worry and fear within. We murmur about everything and everyone. Nothing is good enough. We even question our God-given blessings. Have you been there? Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, Worry is the Opposite of Faith! The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. When you sit around worrying about your bills, your job, your marriage, your children, your finances, you are actually sitting around doubting the Lord. In your eyes, a positive outcome is impossible. You cannot see how things can or will get better. The Bible declares in Luke 1:37 - For with God nothing shall be impossible. Worry is the Opposite of Faith! Faith allows you to believe even though you have not seen the manifestation yet. It allows you to hold on until your change comes. The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

My brother, my sister, Worry is the Opposite of Faith! Worry is a tool of the enemy. It is used to destroy you and those around you. The Bible declares in Matthew 6:25 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Have you ever known someone who worries about tomorrow, without enjoying today? You ask, “How are you doing,” they reply, “I am blessed, but …” It is right there that the enemy has stepped in. How can you say you are blessed, but speak just the opposite? Worry is the Opposite of Faith! You must understand, we all endure challenges. We all face mountains in our lives. Knowing this, it is very important that we live our lives knowing God can and He will.

Thought to Ponder: When was the last time your worrying helped you?

It's Only a Test!

by Minister Darrick D. McGhee

Have you ever experienced testing times in your life?

No matter how you tried to avoid the situation, you still endured a test.

Have you ever thought that maybe the test came to test your patience? Or your faithfulness?

So often in our lives, we ask God for many blessings but refuse to take the test. We ask the Lord for patience, but verbally attack every person that upsets us. We ask the Lord for peace, but we go places where chaos resides. We ask for more money, but never pay our tithes. Does this sound like anyone you know? Does this sound like you?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. You must be mindful of your surroundings. You must be careful about what you say or ask for from the Lord. When challenges arise in our lives, we must not lose our faith. When people speak negatively about you, do not run into a corner. It’s Only A Test! Your character is being tested.

Your love for the Lord is being tested.

The Bible declares in Genesis 22:1 - And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt (test) Abraham, … Many times we ask the Lord for many things, but before the Lord will grant your request, you must be tested.

How can God trust you with more money, if you give Him less now? How can God enlarge your territory, if you never launch out into the deep?

The Bible declares in Luke 12:48 - … For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

My brother, my sister, It’s Only A Test!
You asked for it.
When you said, “Lord, I surrender all”, the test began.

So often we tell the Lord that we surrender, but when God goes after certain things in our lives, we try to hold on. We partially surrender. We surrender the part that we do not need any longer. We refuse to give up everything.

The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

It’s Only A Test!

The test is to make sure you are sincere. The test is to make sure your love for God has not diminished.
God loves you.
He desires to bless you.

He promised to supply your every need, but He will not allow any person, place or thing to receive His glory.

Thought to Remember: If you give and do your best, you will always pass the test.

May God Bless you at Your point of need!

Surrender: let go and let God work

by: Rick Warren

Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7 (GW)

Surrendering your life means -

• Following God's lead without knowing where he's sending you;
• Waiting for God's timing without knowing when it will come;
• Expecting a miracle without knowing how God will provide;
• Trusting God's purpose without understanding the circumstances.

You know you're surrendered to God when you rely on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, force your agenda, and control the situation. You let go and let God work. You don't have to always be "in charge." Instead of trying harder, you trust more.

You also know you're surrendered when you don't react to criticism and rush to defend yourself.

Surrendered hearts show up best in relationships.
You are not self-serving, you don't edge others out, and you don't demand your rights.

The most difficult thing to surrender for many people is their money. Many have thought, "I want to live for God but I also want to earn enough money to live comfortably and retire someday."

Retirement is not the goal of a surrender life -- Because it competes with God for the primary attention of our lives. Jesus said, "You cannot serve both God and money," and "Wherever your treasure is, your heart will be also."

The supreme example of self-surrender is Jesus. The night before his crucifixion Jesus surrendered himself to God's plan. He prayed, "Father, everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine."

Jesus didn't pray, "God, if you're able to take away this pain, please do so." He began by affirming that God can do anything! He prayed, "God, if it is in your best interest to remove this suffering, please do so. But if it fulfills your purpose, that's what I want, too."

Genuine surrender says, "Father, if this problem, pain, sickness, or circumstance is needed to fulfill your purpose and glory in my, life or in another's life, please don't take it away!"

This level of maturity doesn't come easy. In Jesus' case, he agonized so much over God's plan that he sweats drops of blood. Surrender is hard work. In our case, it requires intense warfare against our self-centered nature.
